Day (3) Newby Bridge to
Skelwith Bridge
15.5 miles 1400ft
Setting off in the early morning mist from
Newby Bridge
The dew on this intricate web was just catching the sun and as we crossed a bridge over a marshy field
The first mile completed as we arrived at Lakeside....
....there then followed a long and lovely walk along most of the length of Windermere.....
....and again

Continuing along the lakeside just north of the Windermere vehicle ferry crossing
The fells of Ill Bell and Yoke on the west side of the Kentmere Round walk
Just one of the many passenger ferries that ply up and down Windermere
The Langdale Chase hotel across the lake
We left the lakeside as we passed Wray Castle
The langdale pikes getting ever closer as we head further north....
...before arriving at today's destination,
