A circuit including the fells above Torver (Coniston) 11miles 2600ft

Wythburn (Thirlmere) to Grasmere via Greenup Edge 11 miles 2400ft

                           

Looking back down the Wythburn valley towards Thirlmere

A sunny break in the cloud but thick cloud ahead to Greenup Edge

Arriving on Greenup Edge 2000ft having climbed through the cloud

...with views to Borrowdale...

...Glaramara and Fleetwith pike...

 ...and the Helvellyn range peeping above the cloud to the east

Great views too from today's highest point - High White Stones 762m 2500ft

...and again

Then on to Sergeant Man for views down to Stickle tarn (Langdales)

Next, crossing Blea Rigg to have lunch

Keswick to Cockermouth via the Whinlatter fells 12miles 2250ft

A grand day out in perfect walking weather!

...then on to Broom fell top... 

...and finally to Kirk fell top with a view to Crifell on the
Galloway peninsula (Scotland)

Today's destination - Cockermouth

My path took me along part of the route of the old Keswick to
Cockermouth railway line 

Finally in Cockermouth on the footbridge to the memorial gardens
for lunch

Jennings brewery at the confluence of the rivers Derwent and Cocker

Passing time on Main street before a scenic bus ride back to Keswick

Glencoyne Bay(Ullswater) to Keswick 12.5m 3200ft.

Still a lot cloud over the Fairfield fells

Sheffield Pike summit, marked with not 19th century graffiti, but
the ancient boundary stone between the Howard and Marshall estates.

Now on the path to Sticks Pass today's highest point 2420ft

After crossing the pass the western fells with Thirlmere reservoir

Skiddaw now comes into view from the descent

Time for lunch sat on the packhorse bridge over Naddle beck
