A Glaramara Circuit 

from Stonethwaite (Borrowdale)

Stanger Gill, Bessy Boot, Rosthwaite Cam

Glaramara & Thornythwaite fell

9miles 2900ft

Setting off through the attractive hamlet of Stonethwaite
Looking down into Langstrath from the climb up Stanger gill
Borrowdale with Stonethwaite immediately below
Zooming in on Stonethwaite
Arriving at Bessyboot summit 1778ft with Fleetwith pike and Pillar on the horizon to the west....
....also Great Gable, Green Gable & Base Brown
Looking south from the summit is my next climb to Rosthwaite Cam the highest point of Rosthwaite fell 2008ft. 'Tarn at Leaves' is in between

Continuing the descent I took the ridge path down Stonethwaite  fell passing above Raven crag to see Bessy Boot & Rosthwaite Cam  over Combe valley

Nearing the village of Stonethwaite the circuit nearly complete
Finally back at St Andrew's church in Stonethwaite
A tough but magnificent day's walking and the lovely warm sunshine was very welcome!!!
