Welsh Highlands - Day 4 - Anglesey

Part of Beaumaris Castle on the eastern side of the island of Anglesey

The sea-front at Beaumaris

That place with 58 letters in its name takes three lines on the map!

Beaumaris bay

Children are crabbing off the pier

Leaving the pier for a sail to Puffin Island

Passing the castle

Puffin Island is getting ever closer

The island is an 'SSSI' (Site of Special Scientific Interest) because of the bird-life.

Cormorants, Shags and Kittywakes abound

The white thing in the picture is a basking seal.

The island is no longer inhabited

A young cormorant comes close to the boat - hoping for food.
