A glorious day on the fells: A Newlands circuit including Robinson, Newlands Hause, Knott Rigg, Ard Crags & Aitkin Knott. 9miles 3150ft.

Looking up Rigg Beck at the parking area in the Newlands valley
Robinson today's first objective from the start in Newlands valley
Causey Pike catching the early sun
Two Roe deer taking a close interest in me!
Robinson again from the start of the climb
Looking back down the valley

High Snab Bank with Andrew from County Durham who accompanied me on the climb up Robinson. "Thanks Andrew I really enjoyed your company and sharing tales of our fell walking experiences"

Now the serious climbing starts
Andrew again as he starts up the first scramble
Looking back down the walk so far

Once on the summit 2418ft we had views to the cloud inversions to the south and east. Here it's Blencathra sticking out above the cloud.

Scafell Pike and Scafell
Looking south across the summit plateau...
.....and west to Crummock Water and Loweswater....
....and back down the length of the Newlands valley

Descending to Newlands Hause with the climb to Knott Rigg opposite

On the summit of Knott Rigg looking over Sail Pass to Grisedale Pike
Rigg Beck from Ard Crags Summit, my car is parked where Rigg Beck joins Newlands valley at the end of the ridge
The final descent into Newlands from Aitkin Knott
Looking back to Aitkin Knott
Finally back at the car after a wonderful day on the fells. A day when sat in the sun on the summits was more like a warm spring day than mid February
