Tarn Crag (Grasmere) & Little Mell Fell 9.5miles 2200ft

Two more of the Wainwright's to climb today.

Leaving Grasmere on the path to Far Easedale with Tarn Crag today's
objective on the horizon

Danny on a bridge - well he is a Meanderthal

Actually, Danny's not doing what you might think!
It's just a path
through very high bracken.

Taking a selfie? with Easedale Tarn below

Looking back down the east ridge of Tarn Crag

Standing proudly in the sunshine on the summit at 1801ft....

...whilst there on the Langdales and all around were black clouds

Starting the descent  to Codale Tarn with the Langdales now clear
of cloud

Zooming in on the village of Grasmere

A panorama view of Easedale tarn

Descending alongside Sour Milk Gill

A delightful place for lunch by the pool at the foot of the falls -
Danny was unwilling to take a dip though!

Yours truly posing by the falls

Then after a short drive we parked at the base of Little Mell Fell.
Ullswater could be seen from the climb to the top.

Ullswater again with Hallin Fell, Steel Knotts and behind them is
High Street on the horizon
Finally reaching the top of Little Mell fell 1657ft

Just 16 more Wainright's left to climb!

If anyone would like to sponsor me to finish the last 16 Wainright's for our registered charity, The Rwanda Group Trust, that helps the poorest of the poor in Rwanda please follow the link below.

Thanks!
Michael
