Burnbank fell, Blake fell, Gavel fell and Hen Comb

Burnbank fell, Blake fell, Gavel fell and Hen Comb from Loweswater 9.5miles  2650ft

Setting off from Loweswater on a perfectly still
and misty
morning.

Looking down on Loweswater from the path to Burnbank Fell

Loweswater again from near the summit of Burnbank Fell
1580ft

A short walk in mist up the ridge to the wind shelter on
Blake Fell 1878ft

The cloud rose from the summit to reveal a lovely view to
the water of Cogra Moss below

The cloud continued to rise up out of the valleys

There was still a little hanging around as I walked on
towards Gavel Fell

From the summit of Gavel Fell I could see last week's ridge
walk across Great Borne, Starling Dodd and Red Pike

I then headed across to Hen Comb on the horizon

Great Borne from the climb up Hen Comb

The view north back to Loweswater from the summit of
Hen
Comb 1661ft

Looking south from the summit to the Buttermere fells and
lake

Then looking east to Melbreak and the Grasmoor fells

Starting the descent down the ridge over Little Dodd to
Loweswater

Crossing Mosedale beck

Finally the Kirkstile Inn at Loweswater in the village ahead
