Kendal - Two Castles' Walk (Part 1)

The obelisk on Castle Howe.
Castle Howe was Kendal's first Norman motte-and -bailey castle built between 1068 and 1100.
The obelisk was dedicated to the 'Glorious Revolution' of 1868 when William of Orange replaced James II. It is known locally as 'Bill Holmes' Bodkin.
