Sedbergh to The Calf  (fell) circuit returning via the river Rawthey 10miles 2600ft

Not a great forecast today but at least it should be a little cooler for climbing fells!

Looking back to Sedbergh from the climb up the side of Winder

Low cloud on the ridge leading to Arant Haw doesn't augur well for the views this morning

Arriving at The Calf trig point today's highest point at 2218ft having only seen 100yds in front on the way. Hoping for an improvement on the return leg.

Right on cue the cloud begins to lift as the view into the valley is revealed.

Continung the descent over Arant Haw when I began to think I was actually in the Wild West....

.....now who are these three? could it be three of  'the Magnificent Seven having lost the other four?

Well it's definately not 'the Good, the  Bad, & the Ugly!

Sedbergh from the top of Settlebeck Gill

Continuing above the gill while descending to the river Rawthey

Lunchtime at an attractive spot beside the river

Now following the river past the weir close to Sedbergh....

....Finally here it is, just a short walk up into town
