Dunmail Raise to Patterdale via Seat Sandal, Deepdale Hause and Deepdale. 10miles 3400ft 

 A day when crampons and full winter gear were essential.

A little higher and Thirlmere comes into view

Steel Fell again now catching a pink glow as the sun appears 

Nearing the summit of Seat Sandal with Helm Crag below and the

Coniston fells on the Horizon

Looking south to a very wintry sun

Clouds just catching the Striding Edge ridge leading up to

Helvellyn

visible about 1/3 of the way across. 

Now on Deepdale Hause with Cofa Pike behind. 

I took a water bottle out of my rucksack pocket here only to find the water was frozen! -12.5 C
