Continuing -'A Pennine Journey' Sinderhope to Alston 12miles 1400ft


The start climbs over Carrshield Moor
with views into West 
Allendale...

...and continues over the moors to Nenthead

The route now follows Isaccs Tea Trail
(A 37mile circular route in 
the North Pennines) 

Wind power is cheap and plentiful up here  

A wildlife camera trap - no doubt now with a good view of my legs!

Cross Fell on the horizon from the top of the moor

The descent now starts into South Tynedale to the old mining
village of Nenthead......

.......past the home of a Premier League football fan

...and again...

...and then past an amazing collection of model villages in a back
garden!

Continuing into South Tyndale following the river Nent

Then arrives in the North Pennine town of Alston which at 1000ft
shares the title of 'Highest Market Town' in England with Buxton in Derbyshire.
