Corporation Park Conservatory - Blackburn

The conservatory in Corporation Park (Blackburn) was open for the National Heritage Weekend.

It is hoped to receive a grant from the National Lottery to restore the conservatory to its original splendour





Unfortunately, non of the plants was labeled!

Arkholme - 'A Thankful Village'

A Thankful Village is one which suffered no losses in the First World War. Fifty-nine men went to fight and all returned safely.



There are only two 'Thankful Villages' in Lancashire!
