The River Ribble and two Preston Parks

The south bank of the River Ribble at Penwortham. The spire is that of St. Walburg's church, Preston and is the second tallest church spire in the country, after Salisbury Cathedral. It was designed by Joseph Hansom, an architect from York, more famous for his design of the 'Hansom Cab'.

The (relatively) new Pavilion in Avenham Park. Miller Park and Avenham Park are separated only by West Coast mainline railway.
