Burnbank fell, Blake fell, Gavel fell and Hen Comb from Loweswater 9.5miles  2650ft                                  

Setting off from Loweswater on a perfectly still

The cloud rose from the summit to reveal a lovely view to
the water of Cogra Moss below

The cloud continued to rise up out of the valleys

There was still a little hanging around as I walked on
towards Gavel Fell

From the summit of Gavel Fell I could see last week's ridge
walk across Great Borne, Starling Dodd and Red Pike 

I then headed across to Hen Comb on the horizon

A magnificent day's walk with three Wainwright's. However I'd climbed and counted Red Pike previously, so just two more done today leaving ten to complete.

Grike, Crag Fell, Caw (Ennerdale) & Lank Rigg 14miles 3300ft

A little higher and St Bees Head on the coast next to Whitehaven
comes into view

The valley of the river Calder flowing to the coast. Calder Hall on
its banks was the original original name for the nuclear power station, which became Windscale and then Sellafield!

On the descent I passed some sheep farmers with their very clever
dogs gathering the sheep from the fell tops

After a good deal of ups and downs the summit of Lank Rigg was in
sight

Tarn Crag (Grasmere) & Little Mell Fell 9.5miles 2200ft

Two more of the Wainwright's to climb today.

Then after a short drive we parked at the base of Little Mell Fell.
Ullswater could be seen from the climb to the top.

High Street on the horizon
