Setting off up Hayes Gill with cloud still on the tops

Climbing up Hayes Gill above the waterfalls

Arriving at Hayes Water just as the sun is breaking through

From the ridge, Martindale now appears.

Glenridding through the lingering mist
Heading along the ridge of Beda Fell

One section of High Street - carrying the route of the old Roman road through the lakeland

Place fell above Boredale

Zooming in on Helvellyn with Striding Edge clearly visible

Looking back to St Sunday crag

Blencathra with the infamous Sharp Edge on its right

Beda Fell summit (509m) with Ullswater now in view......

.....and Beda Crag's summit cairn

Two parts of Ullswater with Hallin Fell in the middle

Starting the steep descent to Howtown

Passing through the village of Martindale

The final destination, Howtown steamer landing just in view, on the right of Ullswater
