Cliviger Gorge

The infant River Calder near Cliviger at the start of the walk

Looking back down the path that climbs out of the gorge

Pendle Hill  with a dusting of snow comes into view

Joining the Limersgate trade route over Thieveley Pike

Following that route away from the trig point (449m)

A distance marker on the old trade route

Looking down the upper Irwell valley with Bacup in the distance

The wind farm on Heald Moor

Dropping back down into the gorge

The village of Porstmouth comes into view

Zooming in on Porstmouth

Now up on the north side of the gorge looking back across to Thieveley Pike

Coal Clough wind farm all snow now melted in the warm spring sunshine.
