Golden October around Silverdale (North Lancashire)

The start of the walk from Eaves Wood carpark - north of Silverdale

A row of attractive cottages at Elmslack

Leaving Elmslack

Alpacas grazing in the warm, October sunshine.

Our first view of  Morecambe Bay at The Cove

The Kent estuary at The Cove

Stange formations left by the receding tide

Lindeth Tower - presumably, part of a property

Jack Scout limekiln

Morecambe Bay in all its glory

Approaching the Giant's Seat on Jack Scout

Calm over the bay

Continuing round the coast to Jenny Brown's Point

Another view of Jenny Brown's Point

Looking inland towards Leighton Moss nature reserve

This chimney is the only remains of a copper smelting mill operational 200 years ago.

Open fields near Bottoms Farm
Another sign of autumn
