Haworth


21st April 2016 - The 200th Anniversary of Charlotte Bronte
The start of a walk from Haworth to Top Withens and return by Stanbury

A Circuit of Roeburndale from Wray in Lune Valley

Starting point from the memorial garden to the Wray flooding of the River Roeburn  

Climbing out of Wray

Gaining height and looking to the Barbon fells on the north side of the Lune valley

Above and to the west of Roeburndale  
with Ward Stone on the horizon

Descending to cross the river Roeburn at the head of the valley 

Lunch at the bridge crossing the river 

Ward Stone again on the horizon now from the east side of  Roeburndale

Afternoon break crossing the Goodber beck

Returning to Wray past their Wray Forest School 
(A national initiative for pre-school children )
